The goal of the Montessori Toddler environment at CCMS is to encourage intrinsic motivation and spontaneous activity with the students and the preparation for the CASA environment.

CASA

Ages 2.5yrs - 6yrs

The goal of a CCMS CASA program is to develop a self-reliant, independent, confident individual that is able to problem solve and interact with appropriate social graces. The environment nurtures children to respect themselves, those they engage with and the world in which we live.

French

Ages 15m - 6yrs

This is an immersive program that introduces children to French through daily interaction, engaging activities and hands-on learning.

Summer

Ages 15m - 6yrs

A Montessori Approach to Learning

We guide children to explore, discover and learn at their own pace through hands-on experiences in a structured, nurturing environment.

Child-Led Learning

Children choose activities based on their interests, helping them stay engaged and motivated to learn.

Prepared Environment

Classrooms are carefully designed with hands-on materials that guide learning step by step.

Mixed-Age Classrooms

Children learn from one another, building leadership, confidence and social skills naturally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our Montessori approach, programs and enrollment.

A typical day includes:

  • Independent work time with Montessori materials
  • Transitional activities (circle time, music, storytelling)
  • Recess
  • Catered meals
  • Rest or quiet time as required
  • Practicing life skills, grace and courtesy

Each day is structured, but flexible enough to follow the child’s natural rhythm.

We encourage independence by providing a prepared environment with child sized materials that are autodidactic allowing them to explore, problem solve and master skills at their own pace.

We use a respectful, guidance-based approach. Educators help children:

  • Understand emotions
  • Resolve conflicts
  • Develop self-regulation skills

The goal is to teach, not control.

Our faculty are MACTE approved Montessori certified educators, Early Childhood Educators registered with the college of ECE’s and Early Childhood Assistants. We prioritize ongoing training to ensure we provide the highest quality care and learning environment.

Communication at CCMS is handled via:

  • Emails, website alerts and Instagram posts
  • Children’s progression is discussed at bi-annual Parent/Teacher interviews and an annual progress report
  • Direct communication with educators is available upon request

Our goal is to keep parents informed, involved and confident in their child’s experience.

Meals are catered by Real Food for Real Kids and snacks are made in-house. Allergies and specific dietary needs are accommodated.
