Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our Montessori approach, programs and enrollment.

A typical day includes:

  • Independent work time with Montessori materials
  • Transitional activities (circle time, music, storytelling)
  • Recess
  • Catered meals
  • Rest or quiet time as required
  • Practicing life skills, grace and courtesy

Each day is structured, but flexible enough to follow the child’s natural rhythm.

We encourage independence by providing a prepared environment with child sized materials that are autodidactic allowing them to explore, problem solve and master skills at their own pace.

We use a respectful, guidance-based approach. Educators help children:

  • Understand emotions
  • Resolve conflicts
  • Develop self-regulation skills

The goal is to teach, not control.

Our faculty are MACTE approved Montessori certified educators, Early Childhood Educators registered with the college of ECE’s and Early Childhood Assistants. We prioritize ongoing training to ensure we provide the highest quality care and learning environment.

Communication at CCMS is handled via:

  • Emails, website alerts and Instagram posts
  • Children’s progression is discussed at bi-annual Parent/Teacher interviews and an annual progress report
  • Direct communication with educators is available upon request

Our goal is to keep parents informed, involved and confident in their child’s experience.

Meals are catered by Real Food for Real Kids and snacks are made in-house. Allergies and specific dietary needs are accommodated.

We typically welcome children from 15 months – 6 years of age, with programs tailored to each developmental stage to ensure the right balance of structure and freedom.

Montessori focuses on creating confidence, independence and concentration encouraging the 3 R’s;
Respect for self, Respect for the Environment, Respect each other.

  • Autodidactic materials: Practical life, Sensorial, Culture, Language and Math
  • 3 year age mix
  • Following the sensitive periods

This approach helps children build confidence, problem-solving skills and a genuine love for learning.
